Twenty Questions

We love being part of the process of discovery, connection and pride.

We spend at least 8 hours visiting with you at your home, in conversation and getting comfortable with family and those involved in the making of the film. Our discussions will outline the purpose of project, locations for filming, who will be interviewed and the must-have stories. We will also gather archival materials and organize photographs, film footage, slides, video.

Multiple two-hour interview sessions with our seasoned producer and industry professional filming, lighting and audio recording crews will take place. (Three interview sessions are recommended, at a minimum.) We will also want to capture significant and important aspects of your family life—from everyday activities to your interactions and surroundings—at this stage.

Phase One: Manage all media: digitize all video interviews and footage as well as any available archival media, such as home video and/or film, old super 8 or vhs tapes, slides, photographs, etc.*

Phase Two: Transcribe interview(s) in order to provide a verbatim documentation of all those who speak on camera.

Phase Three: Create the storyline. Interviews are edited with archival material and music to create a meaningful, fun, historical and authentic story.

Phase Four: Review and feedback before the final version is delivered.

We specialize in compassionate documentary storytelling, with a touch of humor.

We conduct intimate, professional interviews to capture the essence and character of an individual: their smile, voice, eyes, mannerism, cadence and quirks.

We turn the individual experience into a narrative potential to convey shared stories.

We love being part of the process of discovery, connection and pride.

The final product is broadcast quality — a professionally produced, artfully crafted legacy film for the family to enjoy now and forever.

This “moment in time” multi-generational bond, is the gift of a lifetime, preserved forever.

“The bottom line: if you want a happier family, create, refine and retell the story of your family’s positive moments and your ability to bounce back from the difficult ones. That act alone may increase the odds that your family will thrive for many generations to come.”
